| SAFETY AND SECURITY RATING: |

The Aston’s aluminium monocoque possesses mighty inherent strength and airbags for both seats and doors are naturally standard. This is not the kind of car that’s going to find itself submitted to a EuroNCAP test any time soon, but this does not mean there is any reason to doubt is ability to withstand impact.
And of course with a car this light and agile matched to colossal braking power, its ability to avoid an accident in the first place will be beyond that of most cars on the road.
Like all Astons the Vantage is protected by a comprehensive Thatcham-approved alarm and immobiliser, though if you want a tilt and volumetric sensor - to detect whether the car is being lifted on to a flat-bed, for instance - you’ll have to pay more.
