If you pay more than a million quid to own the most exclusive supercar in the world one would have thought that the main priority is to make sure you don't crash it.
But one Bugatti Veyron owner from America, clearly with more money than talent, wasn't paying attention to pearls of wisdom such as 'be careful' when he got behind the wheel of his pride and joy.
Only 15 Veyrons exist in America, but that number could well have been reduced to 14 when this one ended up in a saltwater lake in Texas. The owner was apparently distracted by a low-flying pelican before he veered off the road and into the drink.
According to reports the driver left the engine running and the door wide open after getting out of his vehicle. The engine ran for 15 minutes before the car fully submerged.
