Toyota Aygo Platinum
Toyota is launching a special edition version of its Aygo city car called the 'Platinum'.
The Aygo Platinum will come in silver paintwork and Toyota says it will be offered with a 'modest' price tag, if you consider £10,315 for an Aygo modest.
It builds on the Aygo+ model, adding 14" multi-spoke alloy wheels, metallic paint, six-speaker audio system, Alcantara and leather upholstery and leather gear knob trim.
Three and five-door versions are available, and they are powered by Toyota's 1.0-litre VVT-I petrol engine. Five-speed manual transmission is fitted as standard.
The Aygo Xtra Protected pack is available as an option for Aygo Platinum. Priced £380, it adds rear parking sensors and additional side and rear protection mouldings. Vehicle Stability Control can also be specified as an option, at £340.
Prices for the Aygo Platinum start at £8,995 for the three-door, increasing to the top-spec, air-conditioned five-door at £10,315.
