BMW M3 GTS
BMW 'M' enthusiasts can get their hands on an even harder core limited edition version of its M3 for the bargain price of £102,000.
The GTS, due to go on sale in the UK in early 2010, has been built for club-based racing but is available with a homologation package for road use. It weighs around 155kg less than the standard M3.

It features a bodykit based on BMW's 320si WTCC racing car. There's a deeper front air dam with an integral splitter element as well as an oversized adjustable rear wing. It also includes a carbon fibre roof and sound proofing has been done away with to keep weight down.
Inside, it's all rather spartan and race seats with six point harnesses, a roll cage and fire extinguisher point to a thoroughbred racing machine, although customers can get a basic sound system and air conditioning unit fitted if they want.

Under the bonnet is a revised version of the M3's 4.0-litre V8 engine that has been increased to 4.4 litres. Peak power is claimed to have increased by around 30bhp over the standard M3, taking it up to 450bhp giving it a power-to-weight ratio of 300bhp/tonne.
The engine is mated to BMW M Division's seven-speed DKG (double clutch gearbox) with remote shift paddles similar to those on the standard M3.
