Rubens Barrichello
The Williams F1 team has confirmed that it has signed Rubens Barrichello for the 2010 season and that GP2 champion Nico Hulkenberg will race alongside him.
Rumours that Barrichello was switching from the championship-winning Brawn team have been circulating for a good two months and this official announcement should kick-start a flurry of similar announcements in F1.
Barrichello's former Brawn team-mate Jenson Button has still not finalised a deal for 2010, however.
Williams team principal Frank Williams said: 'Rubens needs no introduction. He is not only the most experienced driver in Formula 1 but a passionate and talented driver who fought hard for the drivers' championship this year.
The pair replace current drivers Kazuki Nakajima and Nico Rosberg at Williams. The Japanese driver is not expected to be racing in F1 in 2010 while the German has been strongly tipped to replace Barrichello at Brawn.
