PSA Peugeot-Citroen
PSA Peugeot-Citroen has confirmed that it aims to get its diesel hybrid in production by 2011.
Pilot projects have started at its Mulhouse and Sochaux factories, and workshops to build the new powertrain are under development.
The diesel-electric system was previewed in Peugeot's Prologue Hymotion 4 and Citroen's Hypnos concepts (seen last autumn at the Paris Motor Show), and it will be fitted first in the 3008 MPV.
Next model to get this system will be the Citroen DS5, an upscale variant of the next-generation C5 and one of Citroen's poshed-up 'DS' line.
