Hyundai's US boss has revealed details of the new Coupe (aka Tiburon), a long-overdue sports car for the company's line-up.
John Krafcik told the media this week that this new model is scheduled for late 2011, finally replacing the ageing but still-attractive current Coupe.
It'll be smaller and lighter-weight, however, and Hyundai aims to keep it accessible and affordable to draw further distance from its larger, more luxurious Genesis coupe.
The Coupe will be front-wheel-drive, and engine options will include a 1.6-litre petrol unit; expect a hybrid version, too. Styling is influenced by that of the Veloster concept (2007).
