Tesla Roadster Sport
Tesla has opened the order book for an upgraded Roadster Sport, a higher-performing version of its electric Lotus Elise-based Roadster.
This one will do 0-60mph in 3.7 seconds (the standard car takes 3.9) and has been tweaked for higher peak torque. It has modified suspension with adjustable dampers and anti-roll bars, and Yokohama Ultra High Performance tyres.
Prices for the Roadster Sport start from $112,500 in the US and E112,000 in Europe excluding VAT (£100,000). Tesla promises deliveries from late June and says the 1,100 people currently on its waiting list can upgrade their order to Sport specification.
