Mercedes-Benz has three eco-friendly cars on its stand that are all badged as BlueZero - and this is the E-Cell hatchback.
The BlueZero E-Cell is an electrically-driven five-door compact hatch - shades of the next-generation A- and B-Class, perhaps - with lithium-ion batteries. It's said to be capable of a 62-mile range on a two-hour recharge.
There's also the BlueZero F-Cell fuel cell vehicle and the BlueZero E-Cell Plus - a range-extended EV.
The E-Cell Plus has the Smart Fortwo's three-cylinder engine that acts as a generator and recharges the batteries. This is good for 373 miles between recharges.
