Renault Sandero Sand'up
Renault is showing a beach buggy-style concept called the Sandero Sand'up at the Sao Paulo Motor Show this week.
The good-looking Sand'up is derived from the Sandero low-cost small family car (to be sold in the UK under the Dacia brand-name). It has a 1.6-litre petrol engine that can run on ethanol, a popularly-used fuel in Brazil.
A 2+2-seater, the Sandero Sand'up has a modular body layout and can be converted from hard-top coupe to open-topped pick-up, thanks to a removable roof panel. Eye-catching details include transparent door panels and satin-finish roof rails.
The Sandero Sand'up won't make production, but it does draw attention to Renault's new mainstream Sandero line-up, set to be launched in Brazil shortly.
