Fiat 500 Abarth Opening Edition
Fiat is kicking off sales of its tuned-up 500 Abarth with a limited-run 'Opening Edition' model.
Just 100 of these will be available to keen Italian buyers: they have their turbocharged 1.4-litre engine upped from 135bhp to 160bhp and 170lb-ft (as in the Essesse 'super sports' upgrade), giving 0-60mph in 7.4 seconds and 131mph.
Special trimmings include red brake callipers, unique 17-inch alloys (white or titanium-look), tinted glass and red leather upholstery; the brakes are uprated with perforated discs, the suspension stiffened and an upgraded air filter fitted.
Pearlescent white or retro Campovolo Grey paint colours are offered, with a red/white chequered roof optional, and a car cover comes in with the deal. No word on UK availability or pricing just yet.
