Alfa Romeo has this week confirmed the 230bhp Mito GTA hot hatch - and it is also planning a GTA model at the other end of its range.
CEO Luca de Meo indicated this week that a lighterweight, more powerful GTA version of the 8C Competizione super-coupe is under discussion, and that this model's launch will be part of Alfa's centenary celebrations in 2010.
The 450bhp 8C Competizione coupe is about to come to the end of its limited production run, though Alfa is now ramping up to start making the 8C Spyder convertible (already sold out) once coupe production ends. This limited-edition GTA coupe, however, could bring back the hard-top body-style for a last hurrah; 100 only will be made, we hear, and you can bet that the world's wealthy car collectors are already placing their deposits.
