Lexus is to enter a LF-A prototype in the Nurburgring 24 Hours next month as part of the development programme for its upcoming supercar.
Engineers have been testing the coupe at the German circuit recently, complete with roll cage, carbon-fibre panels, lowered suspension, new headlamps and mirrors, and a new racing-type rear wing.
The race will be the LF-A's first official outing in action. Although details have not yet been released, the car is thought to feature a 500bhp-plus V10 and be capable of over 200mph. Convertible prototypes have also been spotted out testing.
