Mazda is preparing a hot hatch version of its new supermini, reports Winding Road, with prototypes 'ready to go' at its HQ in Hiroshima, Japan.
The Mazda 2 MPS, to be launched next year, will come with a turbocharged 2.0-litre engine developing 230bhp and 231lb-ft of torque, plus a six-speed close-ratio manual gearbox and the usual subtle MPS modifications to styling and interior finish.
