Saab 9-3 Biopower
Saab is extending its Biopower ethanol-compatible line-up to the 9-3 range when it launches the 1.8t Biopower engine next week in Geneva.
The 9-3 Biopower will go on sale in the UK, Ireland and Scandinavia immediately.
This model delivers 175bhp and 195lb-ft of torque when running on E85 fuel (85% ethanol and 15% petrol) and gives 0-60mph acceleration in 8.4 seconds. When using petrol only, it delivers just 150bhp and 177lb-ft of torque, and takes 9.5 seconds to go 0-60. Top speed is 137mph on E85, 130mph on petrol.
Saloon, Sport Hatch and Convertible body styles will be available.
