Jaguar XJ
Jaguar has confirmed details of updates to the XJ saloon.
Up front, there's a new bumper and grilles, plus new side vents, lower side sills, door mirrors with integrated indicators and a small rear spoiler. Executive-spec models now come with 19" Carelia wheels, while Sovereign versions get the new Polaris design; the supercharged XJR gains aluminium-finish vents and black-painted brake callipers. Six new paint colours are on offer.
Revisions to the interior bring heated front seats as standard, and the front seats have been redesigned for greater comfort and support, and improved leg- and foot-room for rear-seat passengers sitting behind. Executive models gain a heated front windscreen, and XJRs an 'R' gearknob and heated front seats with ventilation (optional in other versions). All versions have an upgraded Bluetooth system allowing for the connection of up to five mobile phones.
The XJ line-up has been slimmed down to four trim levels: Executive, Sovereign, Sport Premium and XJR. Executive models cost from £43,540; Sovereign versions, which add sat nav, bi-xenon headlights and soft-gain leather upholstery, start from £49,540; and the Sport Premium, with R-style leather seats, aluminium trim, black window surrounds, 20" alloys and sat nav costs from £51,520. The 400bhp supercharged XJR costs from £60,150.
