Tramontana
Spanish firm Tramontana, established in Girona by former Volkswagen engineer Joseph Rubau, is to launch a production version of the prototype it showed in Geneva in 2005.
Powered by a twin-turbo V12, the car develops 545bhp or 712bhp and is built around an F1-style carbon-fibre monocoque construction, with ultra-lightweight magnesium components, and has two tandem-style seats in its super-aerodynamic body.
Tramontana describes it as a fusion between an F1 car and a jet fighter, and will be happy to kit it out with wood, white gold or leather trim and fully customise it to buyer request.
No details on pricing yet, though at the prototype's launch in 2005, Tramontana cited a target price of €300,000, and an annual production of just 12 cars.
