Brabus-tuned versions of the Mk2 Smart Fortwo will make their debut in Geneva. The three-cylinder, 999cc petrol engine is tweaked to 98bhp and 103lb ft of torque (the standard car comes with 61bhp, 71bhp and 84bhp outputs) and can accelerate 0-60mph in just under ten seconds, though top speed is limited to 96mph.
Further Brabus mods include firmer suspension lowered by 15mm, larger alloy wheels, a sports exhaust, fog lamps and wider rear wheel arches, as well a Brabus-branded gearshift, handbrake handle, pedals, speedometer and clock. Top-spec Brabus Xclusive versions add head/chest-protecting airbags, a front spoiler, rear apron spoiler, side skirts, tinted headlights, a leather steering wheel, heated leather seats and Brabus floor mats. Sales start in the autumn and just two colours will be offered - black or silver.
