This hotted-up Panda 100 HP has a new 1.4-litre, 16-valve engine with six-speed manual gearbox producing, yes, 100bhp, good for 0-60mph in 9.5 seconds, 115mph and 43.5mpg. A Sport button on the fascia remaps the ECU to give quicker throttle response and a more direct steering ratio. It's finished with a special bodykit, a unique grille, 15" alloys, chrome spoiler and exhaust pipes, front foglights, black interior trim and a leather steering wheel.
Options will include the Pandemonio pack, with chrome side stickers (or red, with white paint), red brake calipers, special door mats and pedals, and silver-finish alloys. Paint options are red, black, white, blue and grey.
Also new from Fiat is a dual-fuel petrol/compressed natural gas Panda with the 1.2-litre, 52bhp engine and an underfloor layout which accommodates the extra methane tanks without compromising boot space.
For 2007, the rest of the Panda range comes with a new choice of upholstery fabrics and interior finishes, and four new paint colours - Lagoon Blue, Batik Orange, Magnetic Blue and Quartz Grey. No word yet on properly hot Panda Abarth models, though.
The Croma has been refreshed, too, with some versions receiving a new grille and leather trim options, 17" and 18" alloys, and a wider choice of options and accessories. These include xenon headlights, anti-whiplash front seats, up to nine airbags, cruise control and upgraded sat-nav and stereo systems. Fiat's latest 200bhp 2.4-litre Multijet diesel engine is also now available in the Croma.
