Ford's new Mondeo range is being previewed in estate form in Paris, prior to launch of saloons, five-door hatchbacks and these station wagons next spring. As we've reported previously, the new Mondeo will be built alongside the S-MAX and Galaxy, with which it shares its underpinnings, at Genk in Belgium - and now we know that this platform will form the basis of a crossover too, as previewed by the iosis X concept car also on display in Paris (see separate story).
Ford has today confirmed that engines to be offered will include the 2.0 TDCi and 1.8 TDCi Duratorq diesels, and petrol engines from the 1.6 to the turbocharged 2.5 as in the S-MAX, but further details will not be announced until early next year. The cabin of this estate shows, however, that the Mondeo's had a comprehensive overhaul both inside and out, with its new LCD screen, toggle switches and complete redesign.
