Kia C'eed
It's a guaranteed purchase for seven years: the Kia Cee'd will have a manufacturer-backed seven-year/150,000km warranty when it goes on sale in February next year. This cover comprises five years' guarantee for the whole car, plus two years' cover for the powertrain, and goes beyond the five-year warranty currently offered by parent company Hyundai. It is also transferable to subsequent owners within the seven-year period, as long as the car is serviced to schedule.
Jean-Charles Lievens, senior VP of Kia Motors Europe, said at the Paris Motor Show today: "Thanks to the high quality of vehicles coming from our brand-new facility in Slovakia, Kia is delighted to demonstrate its commitment to delivering maximum customer satisfaction, together with lowered costs of vehicle ownership, by offering this revolutionary warranty."
Kia Pro-cee'd
Kia is showing three versions of the small family-sized cee'd in Paris: a production-ready five-door hatchback, a square-backed estate and a concept called pro-cee'd, a sported-up three-door with a lower roofline. All variants of the range will be on sale in the UK by September 2007, and there'll be a choice of five engines, three trim levels and 12 paint colours.
