  • The all-new Yaris supermini, which goes on sale next January.
  • Toyota describes it as "a more grown-up car in every respect."
  • The third-generation RAV4 4x4, much larger than its predecessor with "advanced technology, greater interior space and a creative modular interior design"; this will go on sale next spring.
  • The Endo city car concept, developed by Toyota's ED2 European design centre, with a flat-screen dashboard, innovatively-hinged side doors and an ultra-economical powertrain.
  • The i-unit concept, as seen at the New York Motor Show earlier this year.
  • Two new versions of the Corolla Verso compact MPV with the 2.2-litre diesel engine: one with the 175bhp ultra-clean catalysed version and the other with a 134bhp output which will replace the current 114bhp 2.0 D-4D unit from November.
  • The Aygo city car, with the 1.4-litre PSA Peugeot-Citroen diesel engine (53bhp); this will go on sale early next year. The all-new Hilux pick-up.

Toyota's Lexus brand will highlight its hybrid petrol-electric technology with the launch of the GS450h, which combines a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine with an electric motor to give the equivalent of over 300bhp and acceleration 0-60mph in less than six seconds. The major launch, though, will be for the new-generation IS-series, to go on sale at the end of the year: this will feature Lexus's first diesel, the 175bhp unit to go in the Avensis and Corolla Verso, and equipment including twin-chamber airbags, adaptive cruise control with pre-crash safety and a Mark Levinson 300W DVD entertainment/audio system. Revised SC430 roadsters - on sale November - will also make an appearance, with minor styling changes, interior upgrades and adaptive front headlights, and the LF-A 500bhp supercar concept, as seen in Detroit last January, will be on show again.
