Mercedes-Benz is to unveil its ML 63 AMG at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month. The monster mud-plugger features a 510bhp AMG-tuned 6.3-litre V8, which M-B claims is "the world's most powerful naturally-aspirated eight-cylinder engine in regular production" and the new AMG-tweaked Speedshift seven-speed auto gearbox. Acceleration 0-60mph will come up in five seconds, though top speed is limited to 155mph. Its Airmatic adaptive damping suspension system has been modified for lower body roll and higher cornering speeds, and 19-inch AMG alloys with 295/45 R19 tyres and AMG brakes fitted. 20-inch wheels are optional. The exterior has been suitably sported-up, too, with front and rear apron spoilers, a unique radiator grille, flared wings, stainless steel running boards and tinted rear lights, as well as a sports exhaust system with twin chrome-plated tailpipes. The cabin features nappa leather, heated multi-contour sports seats with alcantara inserts, an AMG steering wheel, door sills and stainless steel sports pedals, plus AMG-branded instruments. The ML 63 AMG will go on sale in the UK next summer; prices will be announced nearer to launch.
