Kia is to unveil its new-generation Magentis saloon at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month. Sharing its underpinnings with the recently-launched Hyundai Sonata, this Magentis is longer, wider and higher than its predecessor, with a longer wheelbase, more spacious cabin and larger boot. Although rather conservative-looking, it follows the latest much-improved Rio in Kia's overhaul of its range. European buyers will be offered a diesel engine, and equipment on offer will include stability control, parking sensors, side and curtain airbags and active front head restraints.
