Suzuki has released more pictures of its all-new Grand Vitara off-roader ahead of its official launch at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Engines confirmed for the model include 1.6- and 2.0-litre petrol units and a 1.9-litre turbodiesel sourced from Fiat. A three-door version will launch alongside a five-door model and a seven-seat, LWB model will arrive next year. The Grand Vitara is the first GM-group model to arrive that uses a new monocoque bodyshell with built-in ladder frame chassis; Suzuki hopes it will give a fine balance between on-road handling and off-road strength. Prices will be confirmed at the Frankfurt show, but expect them to undercut rivals such as Toyota's RAV4. Also expect a generous amount of standard equipment.
