RAV4 XT-R
Toyota's RAV4 small 4x4 now comes with a new trim level, XT-R, which adds some luxury items to the kit list without a substantial price rise. Starting at £17,995 (three-door model with the 2.0-litre petrol engine), the XT-R comes with climate and cruise control, stability and traction control, an electric sunroof and metallic paint - gear worth up to £1500 on lower-spec cars. The XT-R is offered with both the 2.0-litre diesel and petrol engines, and in three- and five-door form. Diesel models cost £1000 more than petrol equivalents. Just four paint colours are available on the special edition: Argenta Silver, Carbon Quartz, Lagoon Blue and Astral Black.
