Kia's Carens compact MPV is now offered with a 2.0-litre petrol engine. This entry-level 136 bhp version costs from £9,995, with standard equipment including air conditioning, front and rear electric windows, remote central locking, electric/heated door mirrors, body-coloured bumpers and door handles, a rear load area cover and roof rails.
Kia has also made some slight adjustments to its pricing for the summer; although diesel automatic versions of the large Sorento 4x4 are now £100 more expensive, the Cerato small family hatchback now starts from £8,995 (1.6 GS) and the Sedona MPV from £13,995 (2.5 V6 L). Picanto city cars are from £5,495 (1.0 GS), the near-obsolete Rio from £7,998 (1.3 LE), the Magentis saloon from £10,008 and the Sportage compact 4x4 from £14,995 (2.0 XE). Kia continues to offer the £1 deposit/seven days free drive-away insurance deal for customers buying via its finance scheme.
