Honda's CR-V off-roader will be offered with a diesel engine by the end of March 2005. This long-awaited option will come with five-speed manual transmission only, and the engine is the same torquey 2.2-litre, 138bhp unit as fitted in the Accord range. It will also be offered in the new FR-V compact MPV, which is built on the same platform; the FR-V goes on sale initially in November with 1.8-litre and 2.0-litre petrol engines only.
