Caterham is offering a new model, the Caterham Seven Sprint, in a package including a year's free insurance, compulsory driver training and a competitive finance deal in a bid to attract younger drivers (21 and over) to its stripped-out sports cars. The 540kg Sprint has a 1.4-litre Rover K-Series engine delivering 105bhp, 107lb ft of torque - and 0-60mph acceleration in just over 6.5 seconds. Top speed is 110mph, and before taking delivery, drivers are required to attend an intensive one-day course.
Standard kit for the Sprint includes a five-speed gearbox, 15-inch alloy wheels with Avon CR500 tyres, leather seats, carbonfibre dash and front wings and metallic paint. It is available at just under £300 per month on Caterham's finance scheme.
