Honda has now sold over 50,000 hybrid petrol-electric models since first launching the Insight coupe five years ago. This includes 1000 new Civic hybrids sold in the UK this last year; the Civic IMA (Integrated Motor Assist) is now taking 3 percent of Civic sales. The company expects sales of hybrid models to grow further in coming years, and will be launching a hybrid version of the Accord in the USA later this year.
