Colin Overland, editor
A former Autocar and Car staffer, Colin has also contributed to a big stack of other magazines and newspapers, from Classic Bike to Motorsport News.
He's also worked as a troubleshooter on magazines in India, Mexico, Greece and Singapore, and has not one, but two broken Italian motorcycles going rusty in his garage.
Farah AlKhalisi, deputy editor
Farah AlKhalisi, deputy editor
Sole survivor of the team which founded 4Car, Farah started out researching and writing for titles such as Parker's Car Chooser before heading online.
Rarely spending more than £500 on a car, she has owned a variety of battered old bangers - some faster than others, but all invariably undesirable. Perhaps this is because, growing up in rural Sussex, she learnt to drive on a tractor, and has never quite progressed from there.
Craig Thomas, managing editor
Craig Thomas, managing editor
Craig comes from a former British Leyland stronghold in south Wales where they use cooking oil to run diesels and have an over-fondness for little cars and bored-out exhausts - which is why he's lived in London for 20 years.
Craig is an experienced journalist who has worked at the Press Association and The Guardian, covering music, TV, film, travel, fashion and design. But we forgive him when he comes over all 'lifestyle'.
Tom Bird, road test editor
Tom Bird, road test editor
After spending a couple of years staring at a computer while working in IT, wasting away the hours by looking at cars on the internet, Tom decided to change tack and get a job where you get paid for doing it.
Tom likes nothing more than to give a hot hatch a good thrashing down Kent's country roads. Although why his own 205 GTi has spent the past two years growing mould is a mystery. He says he's overworked and underpaid. We say he's just lazy.
Julian Hanton, video content manager
Julian Hanton, video content manager
Born in New Zealand, Julian picked up his first camera at age four and produced a fantastic photo of his left foot. Twenty-seven years later, Julian joined 4Car to capture the speed, excitement and passion of the car on video.
An award-winning photographer and filmmaker, he's been to over 50 countries, had three motoring accidents in India and been the victim of a drive-by shooting in California.
Adam Jenkins, production assistant
Adam Jenkins, production assistant
Ever since seeing the World Rally Championship circus roll through his home town in Northumberland, Adam's been a motorsport fan. Thanks to driving cars in the city around 4Car Towers, he's finally discovered cars can go forwards as well as sideways.
John Simister, contributor
John Simister, contributor
John Simister began road-testing on Motor magazine, and wrote its final word before it was absorbed by Autocar. Passing through What Car?, Carweek and Car magazine en route, he's now a freelance journalist and a member of the European Car of the Year jury.
