Clean diesels, plenty of power : Engines for the range will include a 500bhp-plus V8 in the E63 AMG, and a series of more mainstream V6 and V8 petrol units and diesels. The diesels will have the latest Bluetec clean-exhaust technology, enabling them to meet the requirements for sale in all 50 US states. A hybrid may also follow.
