Platform : The W204 shares much of its underpinnings with the larger E-Class; it'll be larger than before, with much more of a sporting focus, and better equipped, with kit including the Pre-Safe crash-sensing tech, but not the shelved SBC electronic braking system. Mercedes's 4MATIC four-wheel drive system will be offered more widely, marketed as the company's answer to Audi's quattro.
