New engines all round : An all-new engine line-up will feature, using Ford-PSA diesels, for Europe at least. US-market versions may be offered with Ford's new 250bhp 3.5-litre six-cylinder petrol unit. Other petrol engines, such as the latest iteration of the 2.5 five-cylinder as used in the Focus ST, could be sourced from Volvo, though some may be Mazda's own. Four-wheel drive will be offered as an option. Expect also a hotted-up MPS model, and hybrid versions are said to be on the cards.
