Plenty of power : Engines for the new-generation CTS are 2.8 V8 (208bhp) and 3.6 V6 (307bhp) petrol units, with the new GM 2.9-litre V6 diesel (247bhp) to follow, along with the supercharged CTS-V's 550bhp 6.2-litre V8, as in the Corvette ZR-1.
