It's all good then : Taking a mass-produced engine from a big carmaker has two big advantages: first, of course, is that Lotus' own engineers can fully concentrate on aspects such as chassis and safety, and second, a mass-produced engine is guaranteed to pass strict EU and US emission regulations at an affordable price.
