First of a few : Work is well underway on the all-new S-Class - as previewed by the F700 concept at last year's Frankfurt Motor Show - and here is the S400 Hybrid. This combines a 275bhp petrol V6 with an electric motor and lithium-ion batteries, is said to be good for 155mph, 0-60 in 7.3 seconds, 35.8mpg and 190g/km of carbon dioxide, and is just one of a number of S-Class hybrids on the way. S300 (2.2-litre, four-cylinder, 224bhp) and V8-engined S500 hybrid models are also expected.
