Nissan's likeable X-Trail was first introduced in 2001, so the mid-life facelifted model you see here didn't take long to come around.
Centre half : This console was redesigned for the 2004 model, and now incorporates rotary dials for the heating and ventilation controls. Nissan reckons, and we agree, that they're easier to use than buttons. These controls, incidentally, are borrowed from the 350Z sports car, which seems a sensible cost-saving exercise.
