Nissan's likeable X-Trail was first introduced in 2001, so the mid-life facelifted model you see here didn't take long to come around.
Beam me up : Top T-Spec models get these fab aluminium roof fails with integrated 'safari' lamps. The rails can hold up to 100kg and the lights operate only when main-beam is selected. As well as looking the mutt's nuts, they increase main-beam range from 140m to 180m and increase width of vision from 12m to 15m. They're said to be especially effective off-road, but we're not convinced many owners will be rampaging through tracks and fields at night.
