Byd F3R : Byd - a relatively new company which started out as a mobile phone-maker before buying the Qinchuan factory - aims to sell 500,000 cars a year by 2009. Its F3 saloon is already on the market in China, and now the F3-R small family hatch joins it. It's got a 1.5-litre Mitsubishi engine, and lots of load space.
