This super-low, bubble-roofed exotic 'purred away real horrorshow' in Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange. Actually called the M-505 Adams Brothers Probe 16, just three of these were made by former Marcos engineer/designers Dennis and Peter Adams. Though the fibre glass body was spectacular enough to win a design award at the 1969 British Motor Show, its engine was slightly less so: the BMC 1,800cc unit, bored out to 1.9 litres. Still, this 34" high futuristic fantasy machine is a cult star - and any car whose name gets hijacked for a song title by The Ramones has to be pretty cool.
