82 Bentley Continental S2 (page 7 of 25)
|
The Continental range reinvigorated Bentley in the wake of World War II, and the S2 is generally considered to be the best of the S-series Bentleys, as well as one of the last great examples of the old coachbuilding tradition. Built from 1959 to 1962 alongside the near-identical Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II, with its Mulliner, 82-James Young or Park Ward bodies it served international leaders, royalty, diplomats and plutocrats alike. It also marked the debut of the venerable Rolls-Royce-Bentley V8, which at the time produced 230bhp from its 6.3 litres. One of 88he finest engines ever made in this country, it's still in production today.
