99 TVR Cerbera (page 24 of 25)
|
The 1993-2004 Cerbera was one of TVR's most completely realised products and the first to have an in-house engine. The Al Melling-designed AJP V8 produced 350bhp as a 4.2, 420bhp in 4.5 format and 440bhp in Red Rose tune. The Cerbera looked fantastic, reached 190mph-plus without the hindrance of modern electronics and scared a lot of people stupid. With its 2+2 body, it was even quite practical - sort of. Build quality was iffy, it was too temperamental for daily usage and even enthusiasts admit it sounded like a bag of nails on start-up, but the Cerbera was one of the fastest and most hardcore production cars of the 1990s.
