Created by former McLaren engineers, the F1-inspired T1 started life as the Freestream. Now with Gordon Murray as director of advanced concepts, Caparo is taking on the world's top-notch exotica. The 465kg, 480bhp T1 has a supercharged 2.4 V8 and a power-to-weight ratio of over 1,000bhp per tonne - twice that of a Bugatti Veyron. Acceleration to 60mph takes just 2.5 seconds. It's cheaper than a Veyron, too, at around £200,000 and production is limited to 25 cars a years.
