2 Aston Martin DB9 (page 2 of 25)
|
A real return to form for Aston, after the slightly disappointing DB7 which, with its visible Ford componentry, was little more than the Jaguar XK's posh relative. Launched in 2004, the state-of-the-art aluminium-structured DB9 was new from the ground up and has become Aston's first true Ferrari rival in many years, with its sublime-sounding 450bhp 6.0-litre V12 and gorgeous bodywork in coupe or Volante convertible forms. The Vanquish may give a slightly harder-edged drive, but the DB9 seems truer to the spirit of the classic Astons of the 60s: it's the definitive grand tourer.
