12 Honda Civic (page 12 of 25)

Honda has been building engines in Swindon since 1989, and full cars - Accord, Civic , CR-V - since 1992, but this latest MkVII Civic is the best looking of them all. Its split-screen rear window may be irritating and contrived, and only time will tell whether the whole car will age well, but it's certainly a distinctive-looking car. Currently offered in three- and five-door hatchback form, our favourite model has to be the high-revving 198bhp Type-R: more versatile than the MkVI model, it's good for 146mph and 0-60 in 6.6 seconds. Bet they had fun at the Swindon test track in that one.
