Here's where you really begin to scrape the bottom of the affordable Ferrari barrel. For just £5,000 it's possible to bag a 340bhp 4.8-litre V12 400 and if you do get hold of a good one, there's a chance you'll enjoy some trouble-free motoring.
Thank the largely unstressed engine, tough autobox and lack of complexity for its lasting ability. Just don't expect the aircon to work. Remember, owning Ferrari is a bit of a timebomb - you blow an engine and you're looking at a £10,000 bill, blow the exhaust and you'll pay £2,000 for a new one.
