The Alfa GT (surely the shortest Alfa Romeo model name in history), is a proper four-seater and can even swallow five at a squeeze. It is also a hatchback with foldable rear seats, and that fact alone gives it an advantage over the BMW 3-Series Coupe that is its head-on rival.
3.2 V6 in detail : Top GTs get Alfa's usual 24-valve, four-cam, all-aluminium V6, nowadays up to 3.2 litres. This is the engine used in the 147 and 156 GTAs, but calmed down from 250 to 240bhp just as it is in the facelifted 166 and Spider/GTV. Peak torque comes in at 4800rpm, but the curve is quite flat below that speed so it doesn't feel peaky.
