Spy Shot: Peugeot 207
Beneath this bin liner convention lies the all-new Peugeot 207, Peugeot's replacement for its 206 supermini, caught here cold testing. The Peugeot is so well disguised that it's hard to tell what it'll look like from these photos, but we've included an artist's impression to give you some idea.

From the photos, however, it appears that the 207 will be bigger than the 206 it replaces, certainly it looks like the wheelbase is longer. This is perhaps no surprise, given that the 207 will also have the Renault Modus-rivalling 1007 and the 107 city car alongside or below it in the Peugeot range, so may need to be bigger than the car it replaces. In fact, some sources suggest that, at 4.03m in length, it'll be just as long as the old 306 small family car.

The 207 is based, like the Citroen C2 and the 1007, on PSA Peugeot Citroen's PF1 platform, an architecture that should account for almost a million sales a year when the 207 production comes on full stream during 2006.
