Nissan's new-generation Murano SUV looks rather similar to the current model despite the claim that 'every body panel is different.' Nissan promises 'greater comfort and refinement', especially for rear-seat passengers, as well as improved performance and fuel economy.
The Murano's 3.5 V6 petrol engine has been modified to develop 265bhp and 240lb ft, and the CVT gearbox overhauled, giving quicker shift-speeds and responses. Further new features include Nissan's new Scratch Shield paint, with an elastic clear resin which 'repairs' scratches and scrapes. The new Murano arrives on European forecourts in October, with UK sales a little later.
